So to be considered a regular member of the Carlton backline in the late 70’s and early 80’s, was an achievement in of itself. Wayne Harmes was an integral part of those star-studded teams. His effort in the dying moments of ‘79 Grand Final is already folklore, but its tenacity, bravery and perseverance is representational of Wayne’s attitude to football, throughout his whole career. My portrait captures Wayne in full colour and celebrates his distinguished career in this stunning design.
